||
Good evening, Here is your Crime Update for 30th June to 5th July 2025 for the Silhill area: There has been a burglary of a shed on School Lane, where the offenders have entered the garden, broken into a shed by cutting the lock off, stolen three bicycles and two powered gardening tools. There has been a burglary of a garage on Beech Court, where the offenders broke into a garage and stole items from inside. There has been a burglary on Redlands Road, where the offenders have entered the garden, stolen two bicycles that were located in the garden and another one from a shed. There has been a burglary of a home on Elms Close, where offenders have entered the property through a window and gone to the rear garden, stolen two bicycles and left the area. All of these burglaries have happened overnight, mainly in the early hours of the morning. There has been a theft from a car on Wharf lane, where offenders have arrived in a vehicle, broken into the car and then stripped the front bumper and bonnet from the car. We have been speaking to residents where these offences have occurred and checked CCTV at the locations and we have targeted patrols in the area at key times. If you would like to help Solihull Police to investigate crime you can do so by registering your CCTV or camera doorbell, to read more about that visit…. Good news: Silhill officers have made an arrest for a high-risk domestic abuse suspect ensuring that a vulnerable victim of crime was safeguarded and due process could be delivered in the Courts. Officers have joined our local Housing Team to shut down an address being illegally occupied by those wishing to cause anti-social behaviour in the area and sell and use illegal drugs. An arrest was made at the location for a prolific offender who has no been put before the Courts. This positive outcome wasn’t possible without information received from members of the public and our work with our partner agencies. Silhill officers will be working closely with our Response teams over the next two months to help ensure that as the summer holidays see an increase in demand in calls to service we have the capacity to meet that demand and respond quickly and effectively. Take care, and enjoy what is left of the warm weekend! | ||
